A man was killed from a driver running a stop sign on Wednesday in Benson.
The crash happened along Raleigh Road. Court documents showed the driver, Niklas Daronte Freeman,19 drove past a stop sign and drove his car off the road, hitting Scott Charles Pacinelli and striking a home.
Pacinelli died from his injuries.
Neighbors say they heard the impact when Freeman blew through this stop sign.
The home in Benson was condemned due to the crash, and a sign reading "UNSAFE-therefore condemned" was posted on the door.
Family members started a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses and to help Pacinelli’s loved ones with new living arrangements.

On Facebook, WRAL News spoke briefly with Pacinelli’s daughter, who’s been active on social media. Online she mentions funeral arrangements are planned for Monday
